What does it mean to be "smart"?

Today's post is a bit random and arbitrary, but it involves a topic that I feel needs addressing. As I've mentioned on here before, I'm currently a high school student. In particular, I'm a junior, meaning I have one more year to go before heading off to college. In today's day and age, high school (and schooling in general) has become the equivalent of a full-time occupation...The last thing I want to do is ignorantly and inconsiderately pick apart the education that I'm ridiculously blessed to have access to. Instead, I want to call attention to a societal stigma surrounding educational status and numerical representations of intelligence.

I know I'm not the only one with this problem, but I unhealthily adore both Anthropolige and Urban Outfitters. I definitely consider both to be on my 'Top 3 Favorite Stores' list (with my local bookstore topping it off). I've always loved Anthro, but because one was recently put in 20 minutes away from my town, my obsession has only been heightened. However, to quote my sarcastic yet extremely accurate coworker, one downside is that "it's so expensive and enticing that you get charged for simply walking through the door."

Meet My Sister

Hello! Today’s piece, the second “interview style” post, features my sister, Grace. She’s definitely been mentioned here on my blog before, but very briefly. I’m incredibly lucky to have a sibling so close in age, let alone a sister who shares a very similar sense of style to myself (one of the many reasons why I love her). It would be inconsiderate of me not to share her with you guys. The other day, while we were grabbing bagels at my favorite local coffee shop, I made her sit down with me and answer a few questions. That being said...

The Sweetest of Spring: Fashion Essentials & Inspiration

Lulls in outfit ideas are not only discouraging, but also very prevalent when one's wardrobe is transitioning from one season to the next. To help solve this dilemma, I've put together this post in an effort to provide spring/summer fashion inspiration & to fill you in on my current favorites.

Laze & Daze
This first outfit is the epitome of comfort and radiates "farmer's market chic" (a new term coined by me). It's the perfect warm-weather look for casual adventures and day-to-day wear. I love this romper from Urban Outfitters, as it adds interest without being overpowering (subtle colors, rustic buttons, a soft print, etc). As an added bonus, the loose fit is flattering and incredibly comfortable.

5.10.15 - A Day for Mom & Whole Wheat Crepes

Hey everyone, I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday :) Today's not just any Sunday; it's the lovely Hallmark holiday of Mother's Day. I think this day is a great reminder to show an appreciation for the maternal figure in one's life, as many don't take the time to express such gratitude on a daily basis (including myself). Personally, I'm incredibly lucky to have such a supportive and loving mother; I love you, Janet. Thank you for putting up with me and my "passionate" spirit (as you like to classify it). Overall, today's post is an appreciation post for all the moms out there.
